20th August 2017 – Kejohanan Terbuka Catur Merdeka YPC 2017 at YPC International College. The chess competition was divided into 3 categories – Below 18 yrs (Schools under YPC School Adoption Programme), Below 18 yrs (Open) and College Invitation.
