"All work and no play, makes Jack a dull person." So at IT-Web, besides doing well academically, we encourage our students to indulge in healthy activities which involves interacting among their peers and sharing common activities like sports and local cultural dances.

Student's Activities Highlights

Most of the activities at here are the ideas of our own students who come up with the ideas on what they would like to do. There are few students' clubs which is actively run by the students. Currently there are 4 clubs/society for student's activities:

  1. Kelab Kembara (Recreational Club)
  2. Kelab Kebudayaan Sinar Budaya (Cultural Club)
  3. Kelab Gabungan Pelajar-Pelajar Islam (Islamic Student Club)
  4. Kelab Kepimpinan & Keusahawanan (Leaderships & Entrepreneurship)
  5. Chinese Cultural Club (CCC)
  6. Samudra Cultural Club (SCS)
  7. Kelab Fotografi (Photography Club)
  8. Gen-Act Club (General Activities Club)
  9. English Club
  10. Kelab Sukan (Sports Club)

The sports activities include footbal, netball, and basketball. These clubs also participate in competitions at the inter-programme and also at the inter-college level. The IT Web Sports Carnival was held every 6 month to enhance social interaction between fellow students, lecturers and staff of KolejYPC-iTWeb. It also act as an avenue to partner & network with schools, tertiary institutions, political organization to get mutual benefits (in present) and future benefits for the college as well as to have fun & fellowship.

Kelab Kembara (Recreational Club)

Kelab Kembara Kolej YPC-ITWEB was established unofficially on 25th September 2004 and officially on 27th Oktober 2004. Kelab Kembara was aspired by Kolej Teknologi YPC-iT WEB students to fill up their pastimes with some recreational activities that will benefit them in terms of health, team building, living skills, to nurture love for the nature as well as to improve the relationship between students. Among the activities are organising camping trip.

English Club

The English Language Society helps the students to communicate effectively in English. This society also encourages students to improve their English language. During club activities students converse a lot in order to improve their command of English. Students participate in questioning and answering, language games, quizzes, public speaking and debates during club activities. Among activities held:

  • Wednesday- English Day,
  • Cinderella Play,
  • YPC Idol etc.

Samudra Cultural Club

Objectives

  • To unite all the students of this college, especially Indians not with standing of their religions background and serve helpful hands to whom in needed.
  • To learn some organizational skills such as leadership, administration and etc to excel not only academically but in other aspects as well. Equipping with necessary knowledge and skill is very important in this growing and changing world.
  • To promote desirable activities that brings people to get a close touch of Indian’s culture and its beauty.
Gen-Act Club

Gen-Act club provides students with all kind of activities such as competition , road trip etc. The The activities that have been done include:

 

Kelab Kepimpinan & Keusahawanan

Objektif kelab

  • Melatih pelajar untuk lebih berkeyakinan di samping menguji ketahanan fizikal dan mental
  • Mendekatkan para pelajar dalam bidang keusahawanan di samping menjalankan aktiviti-aktiviti kebajikan
  • Kelab ini juga menjadikan anak muda lebih bermotivasi serta berkeyakinan tinggi dalam bidang kepimpinan
  • Kelab ini juga bertujuan untuk mengadakan pelbagai jenis pertandingan yang menghubungkan diantara kolej-kolej dan pelajar.

Kelab Kebudayaan Sinar Budaya (Cultural Club)

Kelab Kebudayaan Kesenian Dan Warisan has members which consists of students who are studying in Kolej Teknologi YPC-iT Web. The visions of the club are:

  • To appreciate the value of rich Malaysian culture in younger generation so that it can be preserved and presented in various events.
  • Promotes social exposure to students as well as to avoid them from doing unhealthy activities.
  • To convey the message of good cultural and moral values by through these activities.

Among the activities are:

  1. 13 October 2004,at Hotel Nikko Kuala Lumpur.
    Performance at Majlis Anugerah Guru Bestari by Minister of Education Malaysia
  2. 5 March 2005: Karnival Kelab Kebudayaan Sinar Budaya was planned to be held at Dewan Yayasan Pendidikan Cheras,Jalan Peel.
Kelab Gabungan Pelajar-Pelajar Islam (Islamic Student Club)

The Islamic Student Club was establish on 15 November 2004 aspired by lecturers and students of the college to cultivate true Islamic teachings in Muslim students at Kolej Teknologi YPC-iTWEB. It also aims to contribute for cooperation among Muslim students in terms of Islamic responsibilities as well as organising events related in Islam. It is hoped that students will be able to be successful not only in their life but also in the hereafter. Among the activities are:

  1. Weekly activities: Tazkirah for both muslimin and muslimat
  2. Monthly activities:
    a. Meeting for discussing about students activities
    b. Prayer room cleanliness
  3. Semester activities:
    a. Majlis Berbuka Puasa during Ramadhan with lecturers/staffs of Kolej Teknologi YPC-iTWeb
    b. Assisiting in college's Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house ceremony
    c. Motivational talk/outdoor activities organised by students committee members.
